The village of Marigot will see two of its top calypsonians in the Calypso Finals of the Dominica Calypso Association big monarch showdown.
Soup Puss who has been in the calypso business for many years has made it to the finals for the first time in his calypso history. He will come up against his countryman last year’s King the Karessa (David Riviere).
The other finalist are the veteran Check who has been around for over 20 years singing calypso, the controversial Sye, Daddy Chess, Observer, Lady Star, Tasha P, Explosion and De Bobb.
And one of the old vertarans de Scrunter failed to make it also failing to make it to the finals was Boople.
